Your coach
Who is REX?
REX is the coach inside StationZero. He plans your sessions, talks you through them while you train, and decides what you do next from what you logged. He is not a chat window bolted onto a workout generator, and the difference shows up in what he refuses to do.
What he decides, and what he leaves to you
A coach who asks you to make every call is a form with a friendly voice. A coach who makes every call is not listening. The line between the two is drawn deliberately here.
REX decides
- What today is.Strength, running, stations, a simulation or an easy day, and he tells you why. He leads with what he would do, and you can still say no.
- Every number on the session. From what you have done, where he has it. Where he does not, the card says so.
You decide
- Which days you train. He decides the training, you decide the day, and a day you take off is your call.
- How long you have. The session is built to the time you actually have, not to an ideal week.
- What he keeps an eye on.Ask him to stop tracking a sore spot and he stops, without asking why.
What he will not do
He will not invent a number. When he has never seen you do a station, the session card says the number is a starting point. Until you have logged a station, the distance there is at most half the race distance, and wall balls at most half the 100 reps. The one exception is the test that gives you your first number there: the station once, at the race standard.
He will not guilt you. A day you take off is your call, and he does not ask why or stack it onto another day. A session you left half done, he asks about once, so the next one fits.
He will not tell you something happened when it did not. If he could not save a session or make the change you asked for, he says so.
Where he stops
He will notice when life is getting in the way and build around it, because that is part of coaching. He is not a therapist and he does not try to be one. REX is your training coach. When something is about more than training, he says so plainly and points you to someone who can help.
REX is not a person. What he knows about you comes from what you log and tell him.
Why he works this way
A number on your session is only as good as where it came from. REX builds from what you logged, calls a starting point a starting point, asks when he is missing something, and tells you when something did not work. If what he says and what happened ever come apart, that is a fault, and we fix it.
Talk to him. Your first 14 days are full coaching.
